Concrete Devils

All of us
Organic greed
Overfed
All of us
Crying out
From behind smiles
No real words
No one cares
The lust, the fear
All crust and smear
Teach us
Make us afraid of the familiar
Don't work together
Can't live apart
The polar order
No place to start
Anxiety separate
Issues depend
Loving demanding
Means to the end
Worship the
Primate upstart
Pretending to be masters
Of worlds and gods
War on nature
Be humble
Worship me

Summer Snow

|

Wary from the trudge
Standing still
Souls sinking
Watching friends fall
Just two talking heads
Hair tangled with grass
Frozen in the wind
Seeking higher places
There is no need when drifting away from youth
There is no need for a new sensation
There is no need between trees and tall prisons
There is no need for fear of the wind that blows straight through your ears

Festering seeds take root in brain
Screaming at the back of sour teeth
Fusing with spine
Seeping into the arms and legs
Animating hate
Through the pores
Down the cheeks
Crawling onto mirror forming
Mockery
Mocking me
Pity hymn
Plants a new seed

Sabreteeth
07:50
|

Outstretched hand
Deeper in the river
Sinking through teeth
To a pale tongued whisper
Impressed as a failure
Make the journey home
Never let it rest
Walk the feet off of bones
Tie a noose
With my frayed rope soul
If you can't unravel the knots
Cut them out
A reversal
To become the ground
Lost in a reverie
Replaying all the memories
Kneeling down
Repetitions of final sounds
Half a life, heartened by hate
Crawling up crags that grew faster than me
How did I get so close
Just to let it take me down
Drowning insecurity
Bang my head twice
For each mistake
It makes no difference what I have done
Ghost behind
The amber eyes
Prowling queen
Crack bones in your jaws
Savor the ego dripping
Absorb guilt in your veins
Remold me
Into a face I've never been
